Founded in 1976 by partners Elizabeth Fitzsimmons and Robin Sinclair, Harlequin Interiors is a well established, Independent design company based in Leicester, England.

At Harlequin, our ethos is to design an environment for the client in mind. We bring to the table an experienced eye for Interior Design, with exciting ideas and a creative outlook, we will help create a fabulous Interior that you will enjoy for many years.

Whatever you’ve envisioned for your home or workspace, we are here to get it done. Our professional, creative team has been designing the spaces that are most important to our clients.

Our job is to help you love your space. We pay great attention to detail, and know how crucial the little touches are. We’ll work closely with you to understand what you want, what your style is and which elements are most important to you.

We have participated in a wide range of both commercial and domestic projects all across England, some of which include Client boardrooms, Boutique Hotels, Loughborough Town Hall, Holiday Inns, Heathrow Meeting rooms, and the Ladywood Estate Uppingham.

Currently, Harlequin focuses mostly on domestic projects, but do not discriminate - we put our upmost effort and experience into every design project, ensuring a paramount result for a wide range of services.

MEET THE TEAM

Elizabeth Fitzsimmons - Partner, Lead Interior Designer

After acquiring a first from Leicester University Elizabeth worked for a design company in Central London for 4 years - designing for clients such as Tricia Guild (now Designers Guild), Colefax & Fowler, Liberties of London, the Dorchester Hotel, and many more - gaining a wealth of experience and contacts along the way.

In Leicester, Liz became the head of art and design at Alderman Newtons grammar school for 4 years. Shortly after, she founded Harlequin Interiors with Robin Sinclair in 1976.

She has worked on a plethora of projects with Robin, with the pair always bringing enthusiasm and a flair for colour and an eclectic style in order to create both an individual and exciting interior for the client.

Robin Sinclair - Partner, Designer, Product Researcher

Robin obtained his degree from Warwick University, going on to teach at Alderman Newtons Grammar school for three years.

Shortly after meeting Elizabeth Fitzsimmons, the pair founded Harlequin Interiors in 1976. Since then, he has worked on many renowned projects, designing interiors with a classic style, and has a particular love for specialist fabrics and furniture.

He often has an eye for sourcing new and exciting specialist products for use in the showroom and with client projects, whilst also looking out for the most interesting and innovative pieces to entice the prospective client

Georgia Gray - Senior Interior Designer; Project Manager

Georgia has been part of the Harlequin team for six years, bringing a wealth of experience to the role. As a trained Interior Designer, specialising in 3D rendered visuals and bespoke furniture design, she has successfully completed a wide array of projects across Leicestershire and Central London.

Georgia has designed custom TV units, wardrobes and fitted furniture to transform our clients' spaces. She is a dedicated member of our team, transforming design concepts into stunning and memorable interiors.

Paul Rudman - Furniture Sales and Lighting Consultant

As a Dr. of electronics, he has designed and built electronics and lighting systems for commercial clients and also developed lighting systems for visual artists.

He spent time working as a freelance researcher in Educational Technology at the University of Leicester, before starting a business and moving into the commercial lighting industry in 2015.

Paul joined Harlequin to explore his interest in furniture, lighting, art and interior design and to develop an in-depth knowledge of the contemporary, high-end furniture that we specialise in.

THE SHOWROOM

At our showroom, located in Loseby Lane, Leicester, we have a colourful, contemporary feel. Inside, there are 2 floors showcasing some of our nicest pieces of authentic Italian furniture.

You will see pieces from brands such as Presotto, Cattelan Italia, Alf Defre, Pianca, and Bontempi; as well as a plethora of accessories from Christian Lacroix, Designers Guild, Slump lighting and Cassamance to name a few.

Home to our small team of creatives, our showroom is only the tip of the iceberg in regards to Harlequin's operations.

We also work alongside our trusted team of dedicated delivery drivers, fitters, and craftsmen.
